shin hardening and conditioning
The biggest difference between Thai boxing in amatuer and pro competion is the lack of shin guards....
I was wondering what techniques people use to prepare themselves for kicking and checking kicks without shin guards?
My recommendation: Kick a hard bag many times.
I don't recommend all of those myths out there like kicking a palm tree or rolling sticks down your shins. The truth is that the only way to really get used to kicking someone without shin pads on is to kick someone without shin pads on.
